PROVIS first project in Africa

PROVIS awarded their first project in Zambia.
PROVIS was in May 2004 awarded a contract for the commissioning management Kafue Gorge Hydro Power Plant in Zambia. The refurbishment of the six units span over several years. The first units to be upgraded is unit 5and 6 that is expected to reach commercial operation in late summer and the second one in the autumn. The total output of the power plant is 900MW and is the most important power plant. When the project is completed the total output will reach almost 1000MW. The plant is situated in the Kafue River that runs out in the more well known Zambezi River with the famous Victoria Falls.
